Intermediate Microsoft Excel (Professional Skills)

Registration required. MUST have a verifiable address in the Coastal Bend region.

The intermediate course builds on basic skills and focuses on working more efficiently with data. Participants will learn how to find and replace information, use named ranges, work with dates, and apply advanced functions.

The course covers creating and managing databases, including sorting, filtering, working with tables, and using arrays. Topics also include how to link files, protect data, and manage worksheets using features such as freezing panes, splitting the screen, hiding columns, and working with multiple sheets. In addition, participants will explore inserting chart sheets and hyperlinks, sharing workbooks, using comments, applying conditional formatting, and using formatting shortcuts and custom formats to present data clearly and professionally.

Recommended: A laptop computer is recommended with Microsoft Excel preloaded onto the system. The TEEX COAST Program has laptops for use during the course on a first-come, first-served basis. All requests for use of the TEEX COAST laptops must be made in advance of the course to [email protected]
