SUMMARY:Forklift Operator (Heavy Equipment)
DESCRIPTION:BCS305; One session\, 2-days Registration required. MUST be 18 years of age with a verifiable address in the Rio Grande Valley. \n\n\n\n 8:00am-12pm AM \n Measurement Tools training introduces the fundamentals principles of measurement including basic measurement\, precision measurement\, direct gauging\, indirect gauging\, and dimensional measurements using both the U.S. customary system as well as the S.I. metric system.  Understanding how to perform accurate measurements is relevant to technical careers such as quality control inspector\, machinist\, manufacturing engineer\, operations manager\, and production technician.  Students will apply fundamental measurement principles using industry-standard tools such as dial calipers\, micrometers\, and dial indicators to achieve accurate measurements that are essential to any technical career.  This hands-on training helps students develop skills in measuring length\, dimensions\, and gauging while learning on precisely machined parts that challenge the learner to make accurate measurements.  The measurement tools and precisely machined parts used in the training not only teach the learner how to use the tools properly\, but also teaches the proper application and use of the various parts. \n\n\n\n \n \n Register Here

\n\n\n\n \n \n Register Here \n \n \n\n \n \n \n \n\n

The workshop provides a treatment of the Toyota Kata’s theoretical framework as well as its practical application. \nThe theoretical rationale for the Toyota Kata includes a preference for the use of the scientific method\, the use of deliberate practice in the development or transitioning of mental models\, and the deployment of organizational continuous improvement. \nThe practical application includes how data is collected for determining the current condition (diagramming\, process characteristics\, process metrics\, and outcome metrics)\, and the development of a target condition. Workshop content also includes determining obstacles and the cycling of PDCA (plan\, do check\, act) experiments. \nThe workshop is not a simulation of any business process but is rather a demonstration of how the Toyota Kata applies to confronting challenging situations\, including continuous improvement.

SUMMARY:Lean Fundamentals (AM)
\n\n\n\n \n \n Register Here \n \n \n\n \n \n \n \n\n
