Problem Solving

This course is designed to provide a template of components to utilize with any problem-solving effort. The Eight Disciplines of Problem-solving methodology and process are presented to model the proper sequencing and application of those important problem-solving components. Participants will learn how to develop containment actions and discuss the importance of root cause analysis and corrective action using automation, mistake or error proofing, and operator training.

HEP273-Forklift Operator

This course utilizes Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) guidelines to provide participants with the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to properly operate a forklift. In addition to safety best practices, participants receive hands-on opportunities to ensure each understands equipment-specific stability requirements, fork adjustment protocols, fueling procedures and other usage issues. Minimum age requirement: 18 years

Programmable Logic Controller

Programmable Logic Controller training teaches students how to program, operate, and interface programmable logic controllers (PLCs) in a variety of industrial applications used in many industries, such as automotive, packaging, and technological assembly. Programmable Logic Controllers remain an important tool in industrial automation, useful in a wide variety of applications like robots, conveyors, electric motor controls, air conditioning, process control, plastic injection, and Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machines.

Engineering Graphics & 3D CAD

Summary/Description:
This course introduces the fundamentals of engineering graphics and computer-aided design (CAD) using solid
modeling software. The participants will learn the theory and principles of orthographic projections, isometrics,
sectional views and dimensioning. SolidWorks will be used to design mechanical components, create assembly files
of complex systems, and export the shop and demonstration drawings.

Target Audience:
The course can be customized to fit the following attendees:
• Engineers with a four-year university degree
• Technicians with a two-year technical college degree

Learning Objectives:
Participants will be able to:
• Learn the fundamentals of engineering graphics
• Utilize SolidWorks as an efficient solid modeling software
• Create solid models for parts and assemblies
• Use engineering standards to prepare the shop drawings
• Learn about the SolidWorks certification exam
